Choose A Theme:
It's your kid's 1st birthday party so naturally most of the guests will be of about the same age group. You need to focus on entertaining the kids and not the parents. Choose a fun theme for the birthday party and make all the decorations and arrangements as per the theme. Here are few themes you can choose from:
- Disney theme: You can opt from your kid's favorite Disney character like Winnie the Pooh, Donald Duck, Pokemon etc. Decorate the house or venue with posers of these cartoons. You can consult other kid's parents to know what kind of food they prefer and arrange accordingly. As for the cake, get it made as per the theme of your party.

Kids like to receive gifts even if it's someone else's party. They like to take home something as a souvenir. Arrange for some small but nice gifts that you can give away to the kids so that they go home with a smile. The gift may be in accordance with the theme.
