Halloween is more of a fun holiday today. Children are always excited and Halloween is the best time for them to enjoy the merriment. Children like to get dressed in their favorite scary costumes and go door to door with their friends to Trick or Treat. This is an integral part of Halloween where children devour as many candies as they like. During parties, which are organized for celebrating Halloween, guests bring along their kids as well and thus, the host is expected to organize Halloween games for kids. Since the games have to be structured around Halloween, one usually makes it seem gory and scary. While it is perfectly appropriate to play the usual games, the host can excite the guests by twisting the game to suit the theme.
Ping Pong Ball Game:
This Halloween game for kids requires the host to prepare a pot full of spaghetti noodles or rice or something similar. The ping pong balls are then assigned different points with a marker and then they are drowned in the pot. Collection of different colored balls can allow children to calculate their points and announce a winner. It is a common game at Halloween parties for kids which the kids enjoy the most. This game can also be tampered with and made to include a house wide treasure hunt type search. The ping pong ball in this scenario can be made to look like an eye and the child who collects the maximum number of balls is announced the winner.
Last Child Standing Game:
This is a tough game where all the kids must act like zombies by staying still in their positions. The person who conducts the game is supposed to make efforts to make the kids laugh or move. The kid who smiles or moves is out of the game. The last kid who stands still and makes no movement wins the game and is crowned as the best Zombie.
Passing the Pumpkin Game:
This is also a common game for kids which involves passing of a pumpkin because it signifies Halloween. The kids are made to sit in a circle and at the start of the music each kid is supposed to pass the pumpkin to the next kid. When the music stops the passing should stop and the kid who has the pumpkin will have to perform, act or sing according to the group's wishes. Then the kid could be given a mini pumpkin to decorate. Finally two prizes can be given out, one for the last child sitting and the other for the best pumpkin decoration.
Storyteller Game:
This is a game that children of all ages can enjoy. All the kids are required to sit in a circle and weave a story around a sentence that is dropped on them by the parents. Though this can become a little tedious, it can get very interesting when the young adults participate and throw in their versions of scary stories. The children might get scared or might laugh off the details of the story. Either way, they will have fun recalling the night.
