Halloween parties can prove to be quite dull in nature if the guests do not participate in any fun-filled activities. One can always manipulate original games like musical chairs, hide-n-seek etc to incorporate all the Halloween madness in it. A person can also be inspired from popular series which resemble certain characters like Harry Potter for instance.
If the party is organized for kids, then they can play Halloween party games like 'Broomstick Hunt' or 'Build a Scarecrow', etc. In these Halloween party games the kids will be physically as well as mentally engrossed. Playing these games will require the kids to put on their best foot forward.
Different games that can be played:
'Carve the Pumpkin' is a modified version of a relay race where both parents and kids can team up and compete against others in order to capture and carve all the pumpkins and win the game.
Food Fear Factor:
Based on the popular TV series, Fear Factor, one can play this scary game where the children are asked to prepare the scariest looking dish with simple ingredients like cookies, icing, and other seasonings. They could also play around with colorful marshmallows, juices, carrots, chips, pumpkins, cooked sausages, tomato puree, etc. Marks could also be given for good taste as well as looks.
Halloween Hunt:
No Halloween is complete without a little search and rescue. Here, instead of hiding silly treasures, parents can ask their children to hide themselves strategically inside the house. A map can be prepared for the rescuers and a fun filled game of search and rescue can be conducted. With teams, this game can truly become exciting. Make sure that the home in which this game is played is a big one with lots of rooms and a yard to match.
Halloween Puzzles:
Every party has a group of children who are either too small to join the rest of the kids or are simply too introvert to participate. For them, the host can arrange a set of puzzles / riddles and questions that can be answered. The child who gets the maximum correct answers can be given a small gift for his/ her hard work. If the children are not too keen on putting on their thinking caps, the hosts can simply indulge them by letting them watch scary movies.
