Use the Valentine theme to make your invitation cards. Cut them out in shape of hearts or cupids and make them very colorful. You can also use small teddies with hearts for this purpose.
Decoration
Valentine’s Day is the celebration of love and joy and the decoration should reflect it. Use red heart shaped balloons, cupid stickers, flowers and ribbons for the decoration.
Food
Make small heart shaped cookies, chocolate pastries, cakes, brownies, sandwiches etc. for snacks. The kids will love it.
Games And Activities
Have some exciting games for the kids to play. Here are some game ideas you can use for your Valentine bash for kids.
- Decorate your cookie: Give a cookie to each kid and also some supplies to decorate it like jelly, sugar flowers, strawberries etc. now let each kid decorate his/her own valentine cookie.
- Pin the heart on cupid: Make a big cupid from construction paper and also a few small hearts. Paste the cupid on the wall or on a board. Now blindfold every kid one by one and ask them to pin the heart on the cupid at the right spot.
- Make your valentine card: Arrange for some drawing papers, colors, construction paper and scissors. Make all the kids sit together and let them make their own valentine cards. Later they can exchange these cards with each other.
- Find your heart: Create a heart shaped cushion or a cutout from construction paper. Hide it in a secret place and ask all the kids to find the heart. The kid who finds it first will win the game.
In the end make sure to give return gifts to all the kids. It could be something like a cookie box, chocolates or stuff toys. It will make a perfect ending to a fun filled party.
