Thanksgiving is that time of the year when the whole family comes together to eat, play and have fun. Thanksgiving is a time for togetherness and reunions. What fun it is to have all family members together for a change. There are lots of Thanksgiving activities that all family members can do together.

Making Thanksgiving Crafts:

The whole family can sit together and make Thanksgiving craft items like paper Turkeys, Scarecrows, paper wreaths, a family tree with Thanksgiving messages on them, etc. Later these craft items can be used to decorate the house or even gifted to your family members who came to visit.

Prepare Thanksgiving Food:

Food is a very important part of Thanksgiving celebrations. The whole family can spend a good time preparing goodies for Thanksgiving including cakes, Turkeys, steaks, etc. A lavish dinner menu can be worked upon to make a meal to remember.

Jigsaw Puzzle:

Make a photo collage puzzle for Thanksgiving. Use a memorable family picture or a photograph of a family vacation. You will find some website online where you can upload the photograph and they will make and send the jigsaw puzzle to you. Give it to your family members to solve. It will be great fun putting the pieces of the jigsaw puzzle together and find the family picture in place.

Thanksgiving Memento:

Take a big piece of hard paper or cloth and ask all the family members to draw on it what they are thankful for. Provide them waterproof color pens. This item will make for a nice, colorful wall piece which you can later frame or laminate.

Family Dance:

The kids in the family or youngsters can practise for a group dance and perform it on the Thanksgiving day for their parents and grandparents. It will be fun when all elders appreciate the youngsters.

Storyteling:

The elders can narrate stories related to Thanksgiving to the kids. These days, kids don't know the history of holidays so elders can tell them the same./

Hand Puppets:

Make hand puppets related to any Thanksgiving or harvesting story and perform a small skit. Kids will love it and elders will also have fun watching it. Use a nice background music score for added effect.
